Thank you for visiting Hempfest’s Survival Fund’s webpage.

The Seattle Hempfest® turned 30 last year – we have been a leading voice in the fight against cannabis prohibition since we first gathered in Volunteer Park in 1991. Many leading voices of the movement to repeal prohibition have spoken on our stages over the last 3 decades. All of our visitors (and we have gotten over a quarter million people visiting the Seattle waterfront some years) have played a role in breaking down the barriers to pave the way to the legal industry we see growing today.

But our work is not done – cannabis is still out of the reach of many, and nonviolent offenders of irrelevant laws are still behind bars. We have always stood as a gateway for education, which is needed now more than ever as more people are exposed to the plant.

The pandemic has taken a massive toll on Hempfest – all of our revenue is derived from the festival, which Covid-19 has prevented for two years. We had to close our Lake City storefront and offices.

We have no plans of giving up the fight, but we need our community’s support. With your help, we will be able to do things such as!
